Hello!

My name is Kate Vaughan and I’m volunteering with the Special Olympics here in North Idaho. We’re pleased to announce the launch of a new program for Young Athletes. In previous years, the Special Olympics offered program eligibility to athletes at the age of 8. With this new program, children can be introduced to the Special Olympic family between the ages of 2-7.

The Young Athletes will be starting the program this weekend and will be gearing up for a Young Athletes Experience and Demonstration on Saturday, October 17th. The demo will be between 11:00am-11:45am at Lakes Middle School – 930 North 15th Street in Coeur d’Alene. The demo will be in conjunction with the State Fall Unified Sports Invitational and we welcome everyone to be fans in the stands. I’d love for parents and children to attend if they’d like to see the program first hand. Not only will they we able to see other young athletes, they will be introduced to the wonderful world of the Special Olympics.

Let me know if this might be something that PAS might be interested in learning more about.

Hope to be in touch with you,

Kate
