Autism Conference Dec 5th & 6th - Spokane

By Bernie | November 16, 2008

A message from Billie Jo Davis on upcoming conferences:

Teaching Techniques for Children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities on December 5th & 6th.

The emphasis is on language, play and social skill teaching techniques.
The goal is for attendees to walk away with things they can use in treatment and at home with children they work with.

I am very excited that Shira Ackerman from the Domino  Project Preschool at EWU will speak on verbal behavior teaching techniques.  I have only seen people present on Verbal Behavior teaching techniques while at conferences on the east coast so it will be awesome to have a presentation here.

Chanda Davis from Milestones Speech and Language Services will provide an overview of speech.  She is very well known for her services with children with developmental disabilities.

Additional topics will include discrete trial, play schedules, and play dates.

Visit my website- I will continue to update it as we get closer to December 5th.

In addition I will offer a short 4 hour workshop on Motivating Children and Addressing Behavior Problems on Saturday November 8th in Coeur d Alene, Idaho.
