Hello All!
We currently have 5 openings for Summer Camp, if you know anyone who is interested please let us know as soon as possible, so we can get them signed up.
In addition, this Thursday is our Parent Support Group, and will be held at the Blue Grass Park in CDA from 6-8pm. We will be providing BBQ, so if you have a side dish, please feel free to bring one. We will also be overviewing our Summer Camp to those who are attending. Please RSVP if you need childcare by Wednesday!

PAS wants to create a Sensory Lending Library

PAS is applying for a grant through United Way to provide a Sensory Lending Library. On September 12, 2009, PAS will be providing a training workshop about Sensory Integration Dysfunction. Kerri Lewis, occupational therapist specializing in Sensory Integration Dysfunction, will be leading the training and demonstrating several ways that sensory equipment can be used to entice a child with autism into play and learning. Sometimes a child’s sensory needs interfere with their ability to play and even function day-to-day. When a child’s sensory needs are met, they are more comfortable and organized for learning and social opportunities. The Sensory Lending Library would hold sensory equipment, books, DVDs, and CD-ROMs that can be borrowed. A variety of items that are selected to be in the Sensory Lending Library will address developmental domains such as gross and fine motor, language, cognitive development and social skills (i.e. turn taking); as well as, enhancing school readiness.
This is where we need your help. We want your input as to what type of items to include in the Sensory Lending Library. Please, fill out the survey -follow link below. We meet with United Way for our final presentation on Tuesday, June 2nd and would like to present information gained from the survey at that time. Parent Support Group meeting May 28th

Hello All!
Our Parent Support Group will be held on Thursday, May 28th at 6pm.
It will be held at the Panhandle Autism Society Facility
Child Care will be provided but you must RSVP to Tracy at 661- 4950 by Tuesday, May 26th.

Also, a friendly reminder that Registration is now open for our summer camp, we only have 10 spots left, so please register as soon as possible to ensure your placement!
